Thanks to
you, we've come a long way since our inception in 2008. Stand Up To Cancer
announced today that it is awarding $9.74 million to support
high-risk/high-reward cancer research conducted by 13 young scientists in our
second round of Innovate Research Grants
(IRGs). These grants, in addition to the initial 13 innovative grants
announced in December 2009, help support cutting-edge cancer research that
otherwise might not receive funding through traditional channels. In
addition, the IRGs support early-career scientists with novel ideas that have
strong potential to impact patient care - projects that are high-risk but
could also be high-impact in terms of lives saved. One of our
